Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
Scan Survey Service

SD Technical Services offer Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Scan Survey Service in Singapore which visualise the approximate location of subsurface structures for design stage, construction stage and to detect cables, pipes, rebars, tree roots, rebars, voids, and underground caves.
It is also known as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) method.

GPR is a ground scanning device for non-destructive subsurface (or underground) survey.
The device uses high frequency wave pulses to image the subsurface and detect the existing
underground services such as cables, pipes, rebars, tree roots or voids and spaces.

We deliver Ground Penetrating Radar reports that are cost-effective, comprehensive,

3 Dimensional (3D) and easy for you to understand and apply on site.

Depending on the specification of the device, it can scan up to 8 metres in depth.
When utilised and coordinated in the right setting, it can bring down costs in carrying out
trial holes and reduce the risk of a cable/pipe strike for design or work stages.

GPR survey could also detect buried structures such as concrete, footings, piles, roads, buildings.

Not only is it cost-effective, you could also do a part in reducing carbon footprint for our fragile Earth.
Noise, dust and carbon pollutants will be reduced as less earthworks have to be carried out to achieve the
same objective - to image the position of existing services (cables and pipes), structures in the subsurface.
