Underground services detection, trial trenching and Ground Penetrating Radar scanning works for proposed fire safety upgrading at Singapore Polytechnic (SP).
The project site is located at Singapore Polytechnic (SP) at Dover Road, in the central region of Singapore. The project site area is relatively big and we carried out a large scale cable detection within the site. Our findings shows mostly in-house cables, pipes. To physically verify the telecommunication cables and polytechnic's in-house cables location, we carried out trial trenching along the road safely and carefully according to school safety policies and authority requirements. Aside from trial trenching, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey was also conducted to image the underground cables and pipes. Approximately 15 numbers of GPR scans were carried out to identify the utilities.
